Bathroom

Bathrooms can be one of the easiest rooms in your entire house to decorate, and yet they are sometimes overlooked. There is a very old saying among interior decorators "Your bathroom is a room too!" The point is that you need to take as much care of your bathroom as you do for other rooms in the house. The reason is simple: for the duration of your stay in the bathroom, it is your personal space.

A mirror can be a wonderful decoration in your bathroom. Mirrors really add depth to even small bathrooms.f you already have plenty of storage, though, you may want to just go out and pick up a beautiful mirror to hang above your sink. It can be the centerpiece of your entire bathroom if it has the right frame. he right lighting can also make a big improvement on your bathroom. Lighting may not seem like a bathroom decoration, but the right light fixture cannot only add to the style of your room, but it can also make all of your other special details in your bathroom really stand out.

In any average home, it is rare that you design and furnish anything at once. Most of us never seem to have that kind of resources. So what do we do? We start small and first make it functional. And then we add little by little. This is probably the best approach for average folks like us but there is one serious problem with it. Later on we end up buying stuff that we like but may not necessarily match what is already in the bathroom.

The result: a lot of mismatched items and that is when it seems that nothing belongs in the bathroom. So this is a great time to take stock of what you have and what really belongs together. A rule of thumb for things in the bathroom - if you have not used it for three months, it is time to dispose it. If new and usable, consider giving it away to a charity or sell it in a tag sale or just pass it on to someone else who might use it.
Finally, take everything out of the bathroom, and as per the plan developed above, restock it. Depending on the condition of your bathroom you might want to either repaint it or clean it thoroughly.
